    It can in BP as well but can take forever to get a decent enough sample.

    Let us know what the vet says.

    Also, it would be a good idea to temporarily change the bedding to paper towels. Unless really massive amounts of blood are coming up it can be hard to see/notice in some substrates, and you want to be able to monitor this as closely as possible.
