Love at first bite

heh. congrats on your first bite, yay!! i'm SURE i'm going to get bit eventually... if it's from any snake, i'd rather it be Apollo... smaller mouth :?

Ah....I have been nailed at least 4 times and it aint nothin....it is more of a surprise than anything else. My big male Apok got me 3 times and my big female Trinity went after me once. It was my own fault though because when BPs are feeding they are in eating mode and if you smell like rodents you will get it.

No, I did wash my hands good after feeding her. I always make sure I don't smell like rodent before going into her cage. I guess she just didn't wanna be moved, so she struck at the warmest thing near her...my knuckle, lol.

Oh, and if you say congrats, its a congrats on the successful feeding of rats so far. I'm not trying to say "yay I got bit by my snake. awsome!" lol. Although I am sorta glad she bit me. It reminded me that they aren't the cute cuddly snakes we sometimes think they are. Can't take them for granted and expect them to not get fiesty just because you're their keeper. If anything, I respect and love her even more now. :)

i`ve had my male (gambit) for a year and stil no bites.i just got a 3 mo. old female yeasterday and she`s got a little temperment but nothing i can`t tame , hopefully.
