I started with putting mine in a separate container and she fed very well each time, but then I opted to start just feeding straight to her normal enclosure.
I think it was a good idea because within minutes of bringing a bag of baby rats home, she is out of her den trying to escape the cage to get at them, every time.
Basically she gets pretty worked up when food comes around and although I could easily get her out of her tank, but she clumsily snaps at everything within reach when she smells food. Not aggressive-like, just kind of dorky - still learning clumsy and excited.

Also, I thaw his food in the same room that he's in, and I don't want to move him after he's smelled it- I'm afraid that would be asking for trouble.

I feed my corn snake outside of the enclosure simply because it's easier for me due to the way all my enclosures are stacked and set up-and she's always ready to eat so it's not a problem with her.

Most of the time, she meets the F/T rat as I lower it in the box.

My only issue with feeding her in her enclosure, is that the F/T rat will collect substrate and my BP will ingest it.

I use ECO-EARTH...I am not sure if it's harmful if ingested.

I like to take mine out to a fancy restaurant and order a' la cart.

I feed all of my snakes inside their enclosures. It's less stressful for the snake and takes less time and energy on my part.

Inside. When I first got a BP I fed outside for the same myth most newbies here. Yes, this topic comes up often for keep in mind, for the newbie, its a great reminder that don't believe everything you read online and the forum can be a great place for first hand experience and even just basic husbandry help. Without newbies and newbie questions the forum would not grow.

This probably wouldn't be an issue if Petsmart would update their brochures.

Personally I like this approach best.

Doesn't feeding in the enclosure arise extra cleaning?

I only got my BP on Friday (17,1,15), and his feeding day is tomorrow. I'm still debating whether I should move him into a RUB or keep him in his viv? I have newspaper in his RUB, but I have bark chippings mixed with aspen in the viv. I dont want my new baby to ingest the bark :/ What are your opinions?

Feed in the viv. It's unusual for them to ingest substrate. If feeding f/t dry the rodent off so nothing sticks.
