someone please help dont know whats goin on with snakes mouth?

Okay, since he eats live my best guess is he took a bite to the face during his last feeding.

You can put your thumb under his chin and gently move it to the left or right. This will pull his lip down a bit and let you better see the extent of the injury. That is not a good color. Assuming the last feeding before this one was about a week ago and you didn't notice immediate swelling and bleeding under the gums, this is probably an infection. IMO this is beyond the scope of what you're going to be able to deal with at home.

If it's brown then it's probably not from this feeding. An injury from this feeding would look more red and wouldn't have had time to swell up that much between feeding and putting him back in his tank.

I replied to the other thread as well. Like I said there, I think it's time for a vet visit. You don't want to give this time to get worse before treating it.

he was moving around none stop 2 days ago an he looked perfectly fine... so I don't know they nearest vet that does snakes around where im at is like a hour away an I don't know how soon they can get him in :(... I was looking at mouth rot but it showed that as being white

Call them asap, you need to get him to vet as soon as possible. That just looks really nasty to me and definitely not normal

this was him just a few days ago an as you can see his mouth is fine

1) Threads have been merged.

2) Call the vet and make an appointment, that's not a fix-it at home problem.

he is opening his mouth up a lot im gonna assume hes trying to figure out whats goin on but I did manage to see the inside an the inside is normal just where that is is actually on the side of his mouth like his gum... its a light brown as you can tell color better in the pic I posted...

That is a better picture. Unfortunately, it doesn't change the recommendation. Give them a call and see when they can get him in.

Tell the Vet, s office that this is an emergency to please work him in.
