Hey Shelby, I was just wondering, did you wash her off after she got dirty?I am thinking maybe some feces got underneath some of her scales and caused an infection. Maybe blister disease is the snake form of a staph infection. I had a rat with a staph infection and she had alot of scabbies on her back and head. I would want to do a skin scraping and see what kind of bacteria was causing it.

Sorry Shelby is so ill. As long as she keeps up her weight, though, it's probably just as well that she's not eating because that lets her throw the bulk of her metabolism into fighting the illness. I'm sure she'll recover with your good efforts and your vet's advice.

    Thanks guys, you are encouraging.

I did wash her off.. I always do when she 'goes'. She needs to learn how to wipe that's all.

I suppose it's possible that a bit got wedged under her belly scales and didn't get washed out.. gross.

Poor baby.. it's time for her shot now. Lucky her.
