Sugar does not automatically mean high white. The thing about people, the vast majority of us are idiots.

She is also 100% het for hypo even though that does not really matter in what she looks like but I figured it would up her selling point, but that turns out to not be the case. People seem to want their high whites. I will continue to call her a sugar. I bought her from a pretty reputable breeder in Calgary.

Then the people you are talking to are wrong. You can have low white or high white individuals from either line. I agree that you should call it what it was sold to you as.

The next two imports of this animal will be called "salt" and "kaleidoscope", because egos will never get on the same page.;)

I have hatched calicos that will blow some sugars away and have hatched sugars that are equally amazing. On the opposite side of the spectrum I have hatched calicos and sugars that were so low white I thought they were normals when they pipped until they came all the way out the egg and I got a look at the little bit of low expression white they had on the body. If it came from a reputable breeder as a sugar that's prob what it is :-) Pretty looking girl either way so good luck with the sale!

I think both lines can produce both stunning and average offspring- it's all about selective breeding!
