Ya I definitely do not want to go in open contact. From my Marine friend he told me I will probably have to sign a five year contract instead I will be doing four years SF than one year infantry. This will be pretty awesome.
Also, bit of an update. I have made plans for my snakes. My mom and dad are going to take care of three of them. The rest I'm going to give/sell away and keep the rack for future critters after I serve.
Good on you! Things must have changed since I was in. My buddy did SF and he was able to do a 4 year enlistment.

Thanks Albert! Definitely when I'm done with my service I will get a new collection started!
Jclaiborne: I guess so. Just curious when did you go in?
Sorry for really really late replies I've been very busy haha

I entered the DEP program in Jan of 2005 and shipped off to boot camp a few months later because they had an opening for my MOS, did my 5 year enlistment, one deployment and got out in 2010 on medical. Luckily instead of doing a Med Sep on me the doctors let me finish my enlistment, get the honorable discharge, with a note saying reenlistment not possible and a disability rating vs people that get med sep a few years into their enlistment.

Glad you found a solution for your snakes. I'm currently in the Navy and am still able to keep and breed my collection but it took 3 years for me to get into this position. Hope you are able to get to that point where you can have your animals back.
