    Then they will start to breed again, but you could keep them in a sort of perpetual winter. Or if you just let them breed and let the eggs hatch naturally, the parents would eat the babies when they find them.

    please don't keep a male and female crested together year round. the female will not get a break and may become too stressed. the females need the time off and a period to rest and eat.

    cooling is not 100% birth control, abstinence or seperation is! male cresteds are very good breeders(at least mine are). for the health of my females i seperate for 4-6 months of the year. for my collection i seperate so that i'm 100% sure the females get a break and the time they need to get stay in good health. if yours stop breeding with cooling then i guess it works for you.
