lol. I talked to someone who said he had a 20 foot ball python that was wild caught. I think he really thought whatever he had was a ball.. or maybe he just couldn't measure anything. :)

Ok, I was wrong about the big enclosure. More hides makes sense though. I read that if the snake had to crawl a long way out of it's hide to get to the water dish or the cool side of the tank, that would be stressful.

Shelby, that may be true, but I figure if there are lots of hides then the snake can sneek from one to another like 007 and attack his water dish when it least expects it :)

lol.. yeah I agree. I said that makes sense.

My Shelby reaches waaay out from her hide so half of her is still in it, while she takes her drink.

Kitty has done that too. I can only assume that either he feels more secure, or he is a typical male and can't be bothered to slid across the "room" for a drink, hahaha. I am apt to argue the former

Roxy hides under her water dish so its not too far away at all. :)

lol! I'm actually not sure on my BP's gender, so it could be that s/he is just a lazy bum.

Wow , thanks for the advice all ! :D
I'm so excited , he's getting ready for his first shed with me ! (I knew he looked bigger) lol . His eyes completely silvered over last night . I put a damp towel on top , and the humidity went up to 71% and is staying steady . That high enough ?

Wow , I didn't know they are usually not so easy to feed , or that they are more skittish/headshy ?! He's a perfect angel . :) He'll also rest across my hand , and leave his bottom half hanging straight down , if I stroke his belly . He always lets me know too when he's hungry , every 6 days exactly - he "yawns" when he gets hungry - and right before he strikes .
Thank you for the warm welcome . :D

By the way , my baby's name is Morpheus - named for the Greek God of Dreams .

Oh yeah , as far as his house being large , he really seems to like it , he'll gladly come out to his water dish - he likes to put his entire length around the rim , before he gets a drink .

71% is great for a shed. Make sure he has something rough (like a branch, etc) to rub on and start his shed. Love the name, and I'm glad you found this site helpful. :)
