There are certain types of freezer packs which you can microwave and they will hold in heat. Maybe sure it doesn't get too warm though.

The perfect heat pacs for travel are the disposible hand warms you can get at sporting good stores they last about 6 hours and dont get to hot or you could put him on the floor of the car ip front and use the car heater set on "foot" just use a thermo to make sure thats not getting to hot for him.( all my snales are traveling this way in dec when I move from tampa to san antonio. On thing to remember is snakes are not the fragile little animals we make them out to be so long as you dont take them to the extremes they will come thru jsut fine thing of how many snakes ship around the US a day alone never mind the world. Well I guess we all take extra care with out babies

Right, except the disposable hand warmers can get too hot, so it's best to put it under the tupperware just as you would with a heating pad. Pretty much anyplace that has hunting supplies should carry them. Alternatively, bring your heating pad and buy one of those converters for car lighter sockets that would let you plug in the heating pad to it, then don't take real long breaks along the way.

    Re: transporting for the weekend
what i will be doing is using the heat packs from the hunting section of wallmart 97 cents a peice 10 hrs of heat each. i will be putting my two snakes in pillow cases then in a shoe box with the heat packs under the box in my passenger seat. for a six hour drive like you said you should do the same thing . but when you get there i was wondering about your setup? make sure he will be comfortable you know... proper temps humidity etc...
