Yeah i have to agree, thats pretty messed up.
Everybody knows not to mess with my snakes (or any other animal of mine) , they know they will end up in the emergency room.

I am angry just reading about it happening to someone else. IMHO, I would lock my room, not just the enclosure!

its her "roommate" so she would be locking them out of their own room.

Yep, one thing I dispise is people messing with my snake or her cage while I'm not around. It only took my sister once, and she was told. She had a friend over the other night and her friend was like "oooh can I see your brothers snake?" and instead of saying "I dunno, lets go ask him", she said "sure, follow me" and went into my room. They only opened the cage, lifted her hide, and looked at her while she was sleeping contently. But then my sister put the bricks on wrong that I weigh the top down with, so they were basically sitting on the mesh top. All it could've taken was for it to fall through and kill or injure poor Pelota. That, and she was in the middle of shedding, so I wasn't pleased with them risking unneeded stress for something so simple. I yelled at her and made sure that from now on if she wants to show off, ask me to get Pelota out.
I really need a lock on my door, lol.
Oh, and hope your snake doesn't have any health problems from your ignorant friend's mistake. :( Keep an eye on your bp for a while...I'm sure everything will be fine.

Ooooh, I would be enraged. I would sit and have a nice talk with the roommate about it though, instead of getting mad and attacking them. I have found that if you talk things through with someone, rather than blowing your top at them, things are way more likely to come out good in the end.
I hope they take you seriously when you talk to him/her. If not I might consider finding a new roommate!
