Thanks. He is one that I enjoy looking at. People usually fall into one of two camps with Sugar/Calico. One camp believes they are different lines of the same gene like Butter/Lesser and Banana/Coral Glow. The second camp believes that they are two similar, but separate genes like Black Pastel/Cinnamon. There are a couple of good threads on this site discussing the issue.

Well a little bit of good news, and mainly disappointing news. Good news is that 2015 Clutch 3 has arrived. This was from a large imported girl that I got from a good friend. She bred multiple time for him, producing large clutches and is supposed to be the super form of an incomplete dominate melanistic gene. She is the grandmother of the female that laid 2014 Clutch 1 last year that had the melainstic characteristics show up. (A melanistic Jigsaw, a melanistic Pastave, and what I think is a melanistic Mystic were 3 of the 5 hatchlings in that clutch, just about text book odds for an incomplete dominate gene. But I am waiting until I can pair the melanistic Pastave male with his mother to test the gene before declaring it for sure). I have bred this large import girl (she is the biggest girl in my collection, and since she came as proven breeder, got the nick name "Big Mamma") for the past 2 seasons without ay eggs before, so I was pretty excited to see her on some eggs. The disappointing news starts with the fact that of the 9 eggs she laid, 5 were slugs, and of the 4 that were not complete slugs, only 2 have good veins. In addition to that, when I put her 4 non slug eggs in the incubator, I noticed that 3 eggs in 2015 Clutch 2 were going bad. I was able to separate the 3 good eggs (1 was rather difficult) and am hoping that the remaining 3 eggs from 2015 Clutch 2 and at least 1 egg form 2015 Clutch 3 make it. Here are the pictures:

2015 Clutch 2 eggs (that last good egg was difficult to separate from the bad eggs)

2015 Clutch 3, lots of slugs

2015 Clutch 3, 1 big egg and 1 little egg show some good veins. I am hoping at least 1 makes it.

Will do. The first clutch should hatch around June 20th, until then, here is an update:

We've had 2 more clutches laid and an update on 2015 Clutch 3. One of the small, "boob" eggs has gone bad. Fortunately the remaining 3 show good veins.
    2015 Clutch 5 May 17 Update:

2015 Clutch 4 was laid by our 2010 female Mojave het Hypo who was bred to our 2009 male Pastel Hypo possible het Pied for the first half of the season, and our 2013 male Pastel Hypo het Pied for the last half. Here is a picture of the mom on the eggs and a second picture of the 6 good eggs:

2015 Clutch 5 was laid by our big Paint female bred to our male Cinnamon Yellowbelly Paint. This same pairing did not result in any Super Paints last season, but I am hopeful that we'll see some cool Super Paints and maybe even some Super Paint combinations! Here is a picture of the mom on her eggs and another picture of the 7 good eggs:

Hope you guys enjoy and I'll keep you posted as more eggs are laid and when these start hatching!

Yesterday was a good day, 2 more clutches.

First up is our Double Het Clutch. I acquired these as double het for Pied and Albino, but they produced some Albinos and what seem to be Caramel Albinos. You can take a look at this thread about their 2014 clutch (http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...e-Het-For-What). This year she only laid 7 eggs, with 1 being a slug, but her eggs are a lot bigger this year.

Also laid yesterday was a clutch by another Paint female, at least I bought her as a Paint. The pairing was a Cinnamon Yellowbelly Paint male to a Paint female. We are really hoping for a Super Paint or Super Paint combination to prove that she is a Paint.

Thanks for checking out our breeding thread. Hope to have some hatchlings to show you in about 10 days or so!

This is a much anticipated clutch. The pairing was our oringinal Orangebelly male to one of his 2012 daughters. Hopefully this will shed some light on why he has such a unique look!

Here is mom on 2015 clutch 8. She was sired by the original 2009 Orangebelly

2015 Clutch 8 is 5 nice looking eggs.

This is the second of 3 possible clutches from our original male Orangebelly to his 2012 daughters. This one is a Pastel who laid a big clutch for us. Hopefully we will be getting some answers on his genetics.

Here is the Pastel mom on 2015 Clutch 9

2015 Clutch 9 has 8 eggs in it. Pretty good for a first time girl

Went away for the weekend and saw this Sunday evening. It was a day earlier than we were expecting them, so a very fun surprise. I'll get more pictures once they are all out of the eggs. (Sorry this one is blurry, cell phone had a little trouble focusing.)
