He is very small and I am worried about his weight (I don't have a scale). Should I take him to a vet or what? I keep trying to feed about once every week or so now with no luck (again, frozen hopper mice). He also did not have a very good first shed about four weeks ago, his humidity was not high enough in the tank, so he still has a small amount of skin stuck on his head (including one of his eye caps) and I'm wondering if this might be why he isn't eating. I'm hoping that the remaining skin will come off during his next shed.

I've heard letting them soak in a lukewarm bath for 20 mins to an hour will help w/his leftover shed. There are several videos on YouTube worth watching. I have yet to get my 1st BP, & have been researching the absolute *crap* out of them. Best of luck & keep us updated! I'll probably be on here asking several more questions soon:)

I would not suggest feeding anything other than what he was on before you got him. They tend to imprint if allowed and will often not accept anything else.

I am assuming baby means not very large? Under 500gm? It is uncommon in my experience for small snakes to refuse unless there is another issue. Stress or husbandry.

What are your temps? Hot spot cool side and the air temperature generally. Please describe how you are taking temps. With what you are measuring them as well.

How often are you handling the snake? I would suggest not to handle at all until he has had three meals in succession.
