    Btw, just so you know (and I don't think you're planning on it) you cannot house a white's tree frog with the Crested. White's tree frogs can eat geckos.

    Frogs really aren't handleable pets. If you want to get her something that's cute and handleable, I would suggest maybe a bearded dragon. Mine likes to be picked up. Also they tend to eat mostly veggies like collard greens, which may be easier for your mom than, say, feeding mice. They do need crickets though; daily when they're young. And they are a bit of a chore to clean up after. So I would only suggest one if your ma agrees beforehand she wants one, and would be able to read up on it and learn before getitng one.
