What questions should be asked and what should I look for?

I didn't see this is in my glance through the posts. But don't trust someone who sells a 180 dollar animal for 30... Just in general if some one approaches you about buying one of their snakes and they aren't a breeder. Proceed with caution

Popping isn't so easy for everyone. I can't pop to save my life. I probe all my hatchling a minimum of 3 times in the first two months. I have found that popping is easier for me right after I probe.

I have watched videos on popping, but just can't get it. I feel like I'm going to hurt the animal. I'm sure if I saw it in person it may be a little easier.

Im right there with you. Can't pop whatsoever. Probing on the other hand comes easily for me.

Not one breeder whether at the expo or online will give a week or two guarantee. You will get two or three days at best. The reason for that is the breeder doesn't know how capable you are as an owner.

Definitely check for mites while you hold the snake. Check for bubbles in the mouth. I also stand back and observe the snake im thinking about buying to see if he/she is opening his/her mouth a lot.

The most important thing is to quarantine the animals you just bought from your current collection.
