When she is in her tank, she's in her hide. She pokes her head out at night when Chris and I are both in the room getting ready for bed. Then she's out and about and back in by morning. But when I take her out of her hide, and her tank, she is resistant to go back. She will do anything to not go back in her tank, up to and including wrapping herself around a small lamp on the side of her tank. She loves being out, and really enjoys being outside (surprisingly) and even enjoys short car rides. I take her to the pet store once in a while, but not often as I usually go to get food.

I found it impossible to resist naming her Monty, and I get how phone spellings are annoying. Ugh. But if my BP keeps this behavior up and still seems okay with being out so much, she might start going to the pet store with me, too, except right now I live in MN where it's not exactly the warmest time of the year. ;)

Make sure she's warm! Monte was a rescue, and didn't have a name. At first her name was trouser, then we sexed her and found out she was a girl, and trouser snake just wouldn't work.

Oh definitely! We frequently hit 80s here in the summer, so she should be good then. And a bit older. And Trouser is quite the odd name for a snake, but to each their own, I suppose…I do love Monte better though. :)

Monte was my idea, trouser was my 17 year old nephews.
