Hi Sauzo! I definitely forgot to mention that my T8 comes with the flexwatt tape for belly heat on one of corners, hence why I asked if I should place the RHP in the middle because I do want him to have a "cool corner/side".

To clear things up, the reason why I have both the flexwatt and the RHP is because the city that I will be moving to soon will have a temp drop of below the 60s if the heater isn't left on during the winter. I wanted to play it safe, so I made sure to purchase a RHP, just in case.

Nice. Definitely wont hurt to have the flexwatt especially if your area gets cold. I tend to keep my house warm and here in the winters, it doesn't really get cold anyways so flexwatt isn't needed for me. The RHP will definitely help though and I still would run it on one side(the side with the flexwatt on). That way your snake has a nice toasty side and then a cooler side. And of course, probably not needed to state this but run a separate T-stat for each of those unless you are running something like a Herpstat 2 or the VE double stat one they offer, which I cant remember the model number now as I don't use VE ones :)

Totally :) Luckily enough I decided to spend the extra cash on a Herpstat 2. Couldn't be more happier!
