So I bought a 2nd heat lamp and now I'm running a 100W and a 75W red lamp. 100W is keeping one side at 90 degrees and the 75W is holding the cool side at 75-80.
I added the moss and its keeping humidity up for sure, but now my whole house smells like moss and the wife is complaining. Not sure what to do, but I put an air purifier in the room with the snake.
That being said, I fed her for the first time last night and she took a thawed rat fuzzy as soon as i wiggled it in front of her face! I was afraid she might only go for live food, so that's good news.
Afterwards she crawled into the upside down planter I put on the hot side for the 2nd enclosure recommended. I filled that one up with moist moss and she stayed there all night after feeding.
I also added a much larger water dish.
Here's a couple new pictures.

Re: New snake owner
After the Aspen turning out to be a bad idea (removes most humidity from the tank) and the moss addition...which helped, but made my entire house smell bad, I have tried Zilla Jungle Mix and it seems to be working very well, no smell.

Re: New snake owner
I use coconut shred, made by zoomed, I love it. It holds humidity very well, I usually don't need Moss, but I do use sphagnum Moss during shed, mine doesn't give off any odd smells.

Also, I got a thermometer/hydrometer at petco for $30. It's digital and it works much better than the sticky ones. It's worth spending the extra money. Also, pick up a no contact or infrared thermometer. I got one for $20 at Harbor freight. It works very well for keeping tabs on surface temperature. I also picked up a kitchen scale (any scale that weighs in grams will work) for around $9. You'll want to keep an eye on weight (I generally weigh monty once every two weeks or so, before feeding time.) it's a really good idea to keep an eye on any weight gain or loss that you can't visually see, so you can adjust feedings accordingly. She/he is gorgeous.
