And before I forget, if you are using a heat lamp also, you can put the water dish right below the lamp to create more humidity. Also, if you are using a lamp, put it on a dimmer switch. A lamp on full blast will watch your humidity down in know time.

Yeah there is that but like I said I rarely get them wet anymore. They trap heat and humidity pretty well when they are dry too so if I might not be home for a long time on a certain day then I will damp the towels

I was using damp towel til today i was told by a breeder to do plastic wrap.... he is now shedding at bout 30% humidity an having no problem has he is doin it with me an my son watching him... ill have to check in the mulch stuff... his hid is lik perfect size he just doesnt like it i guess lol.... an for heat im using a heat emmiter

He may be laying on top of it because the che is creating a hot spot on top of it instead of inside it.

Try to not use plastic wrap, use foil instead, cover that with a dry towel and a small blanket if you have one. Put moist paper towels in there.

Your humidity needs to be higher than 30% on a daily basis, not to mention when he's in shed.
