I agree, T8 would probably be the best bang for your buck. Plus, it's a "quick ship" item so it ships in a couple of weeks instead a couple of months.

If you go the T8 route, I suggest getting the partition that AP sells for $20 bucks so while the BP is growing, the enclosure isn't too big for him and he feels safe and comfortable in his home.

Agreed, best bang for buck, and more importantly; get the divider for small snake.

also, even half a T8 is quite luxurious if your snake is hatchling or yearling. If this is the case, be sure to provide plenty of hiding spots and cover

Thanks so much guys! I'll plan on that :) I can nab a T8 on my next paycheck.

Indeed, I plan to get an adult-sized enclosure, and then divide it and cover it with all kinds of hides for a little snake :)

I'm excited! I'm planning on some manner of pretty little axanthic <3

    That sounds awesome!

Also, read through this sticky thread if you haven't yet. It's all about the T8.

Mr. Misha, question as I see you have the lighting in yours. Likely something I should've considered before ordering my T8, but are their lightning fixtures compatible with a RHP?

Since I have multiple enclosures I went with a LED lighting setup I bought from a local hardware store.

What do you mean by compatible light fixture? The RHP and the light are two independent things and have nothing to do anything with each other.

Here's the thread I did on my lighting setup. It's a bit expensive but I love it:

As in would physically fit. I haven't seen what their included fluorescent fixture actually looks like, so I don't know if it will physically fit with an RHP attached to the top of the enclosure.

Yea, it will definitely fit. Check the T8 thread and you'll see the florescent fixtures they use.

i have been toying with the idea of getting a T8 for Loki and moving him out of his tank. I have the tank screen mostly sealed with foil and duct tape, and he is perfectly healthy in it. but, since he will be around for a while, i have been thinking of splurging a bit and getting him something that looks alot nicer. Espacially since this is the first year I can remember not spending any of my tax return on guns, I have a little extra jingle in my pocket. The only thing stopping me is that I could just get another snake and keep him/her in Loki's old 10 gal or put him/her in a tub.

So, new enclosure for Loki, or should I get my wife her own snake?
