    Crazy thing is I've just phoned another reptile place ( supposedly highly rated ) and they weren't sure if they had any guards big enough to house a 250W ceramic bulb !? The others around don't even sell guards at all just the ceramic nubs !!

    How on earth do you guys ever get ceramics set up in the first place ??

    The prices are far better on eBay but there's no way of knowing if the guards are gonna fit the bulbs .... I found a place on eBay that sells various sized ceramic guards at £20 each BUT they don't sell ceramic bulbs !!!!


    Agghhhh !!!!

    This is why I advertised for a ready made ceramic setup in classifieds :)

    I'm sorry since you have wood enclosures I thought you were talking about radiant heat panels(rhp) not a che. I would not recommend a che as they really cook and will destroy your humidity. I would check into a radiant heat panel. They are safer and work very well in wood enclosures from what I have seen.
