That is a good point. I keep mine on paper so its easy to spot mites. I've only had to battle them one time and they were never to be seen again!

I noticed mites due to one of my snakes sitting in her bowl. That was like a month ago and I'm still battling them, ugh.

The important parts of this guide are a - the heat pad and thermostat and b - the covering of most of the top to keep humidity in.

Thanks! Read over that guide a few times. I have a heat pad, just waiting for the thermostat to come in the mail, and I currently cover 2/3 of the top with a dish towel that I dampen as needed to keep the humidity up. That's okay, right?
