I have used Shed-Eaze for years on most of my snakes, and never had any problems with it or because of it. I have also chosen a few of my snakes to not use it on, and thier sheds were a bit rougher in comparison to the ones who have had that used on them, so, I went back to using it on all of them.

I guess I am not a purist....hmmm.....well, like I said I love buying goodies for my snakes...the newest stuff from companies like ZooMed. I have a whole table full of gadgets and sprays and what have you.:)

Just my own personal thing I guess in the snake hobby...

And that my man is what its all about! Everyone is different and there is no clear cut way to do everything. Its all up to each individual keeper and what works for them and their reptiles.

I've not had a problem with sheds at all since we got our first BP. He came to us as he was preparing to shed. The pet shop had not maintained proper humidity levels, and he had a really rough shed. Since we've started maintaining proper humidity levels, we now have around 20 snakes all of which have flawless sheds without having to soak them or use any type of product on them. Granted, some of them soak themselves in their water bowls, but we don't routinely soak them in preparation for sheds.
