Re: Buying frozen mice/rats online
Weanling or small rat would be more appropriate as far as I can tell. The more experienced on here would be able to advice you more accurately though.

Re: Buying frozen mice/rats online
The pet store here doesn't have the size frozen rats I need so I just picked out a couple adult mice. No wonder my poor snake wasn't growing much though being fed a fuzzy/hopper a week for like the first 7-8 months that's what I get for listening to pet store advice.
Re: Buying frozen mice/rats online
As far as online suppliers I've used Big Cheese Rodents, Layne Labs, and Rodent Pro. I was quite disappointed with Rodent Pro. Quite a few of the feeders I received were soiled and smelled of urine. Their packaging was ok. Big Cheese and Layne Labs both have very high quality feeders and packaging. Big Cheese wins my vote on overall quality and pricing. Their $29 flat rate shipping gives them the edge over Layne Labs.

I'd agree that your BP can definitely handle larger meals. I feed my snakes 10-15% of their body weight per feeding. At her size I'd think she'd easily take rat weanlings or maybe even small rats.
Re: Buying frozen mice/rats online
The Big Cheese Rodent Factory has been my best experience so far as online feeders .... I also vote this snake should be eating rat weanlings

A little on the pricier end but I can vouch for the high quality and professionalism. Well packed, timely delivery.

Re: Buying frozen mice/rats online
I do like the fact that they take paypal. My first step is getting a scale cause with ordering online that way I do know exactly what she needs and I can tell you all how many grams she actually is for around 10-12 months old.
I wish there was a scale I could just buy tomorrow lol any at Walmart in the kitchen area any good?
Re: Buying frozen mice/rats online
Any digital scale should be ok. I haven't checked Walmart but I know Amazon has some relatively inexpensive ones.

I got my feeders from Big Cheese today and as usual I couldn't be happier. (25) rat fuzzys, (25) rat pups, & (25) jumbo mice for $85 shipped.

Re: Buying frozen mice/rats online
This may be a dumb question, but when they are frozen like that as opposed to individually wrapped, how to you get just one? It seems like they would be frozen together. Sorry, thanks.
