Re: Help me fine-tune my upcoming PVC cage setup, please :)
The AP enclosures are definitely worth the wait. I have a T12, T10 & T8 from them and I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
In regards to the heat panels, i'd also check out Reptile Basics RHPs. All my enclosures run RB RHPs and they Even though Bob says that his RHPs all have a UL certification, I couldn't find on the UL website, nor does he give you the UL number.

It sounds like I really can't go wrong with AP or ConstrictorsNW :) I've seen nothing but rave reviews from owners who use both of these brands.
Herpstat 4 is on order already, I'm excited!
I'll take a look at the RBI panels too. It looks like the RBI or ProHeats are the most popular RHPs.
There's been a bit of a new development though. Ed from ConstrictorsNW just emailed me back this morning and explained he had a 6 week turnaround time, which is shorter than I expected. However, this means I won't have the enclosure in time for the reptile expo. AP seems to take about a month and some change even for the quick ship options for some as well.
I was thinking about picking up a locking plastic tub (sterilite/rubbermaid etc) and rigging that up with heat/privacy to house the new addition for a couple of weeks until the new cages arrive. I mean, I'll have to quarantine the new BP anyway, what do you guys think?
Re: Help me fine-tune my upcoming PVC cage setup, please :)
ProLines are on order! Went for two 32x23x12. Now each BP will have its own cage. I chose ConstrictorsNW due to the material, look (I like how the doors swing DOWN), customer service I received, plus he's also in the PNW.
Ed actually let me place an order today. When I look at the site, it says they're not taking new orders until current orders are fulfilled. He accommodated my order and answered all my questions without issue. Awesome customer service.
Now to decide on all the other things!

I think if I got even more excited, my other half would need a tranquilizer dart for me [emoji14] we love our snake equally, but I'm the gear/product junkie!
I learned something else about the ProLines today! Apparently the material Ed uses is intended to replace wood on boats, so it will take any wood screw without the need to pre-drill. This is going to make installation of lights and probes a snap. The only precaution he gave me was to make sure the screw wasn't long enough to poke through the plastic [emoji14]
Really satisfied with my decision to support a local! Is it January yet?
