Just got my new enclosure partially up and running. I went with an Aztec themed background on the upper half. Still a lot of work left - I need to do the sides of the background and I'm making an Aztec face statue waterfall with the water flowing from the mouth. The top is around 33" x 23" x48" and houses my Zebra Jungle Carpet Python. The full height of the enclosure is a little under 7 ft. On the lower half I'm going to do an Amazon rocky background with a waterfall, and it will likely be the new home of my Green Tree Python. The bottom is a few inches taller than the top half, and I'm not sure my GTP will utilize the extra space. If she doesn't, I'll buy a red Amazon Tree Boa for that enclosure and move the GTP back to her old enclosure.

Well the jungle carpet wanted to move to a real jungle lol. The setup looks awesome. I got to work on my enclosure today. I made most of the internal frame and have the sides cut to fit. I was out of liquid nails so I did not get to put them in place.

The addition to the back will double my depth to 32 inches and I plan on doing a themed interior to match where bredli's come from. I need to start another DIY thread for the build.

Lefty, no offense taken. I thoroughly researched the origins of this particular specimen and discovered that he was somehow trapped in a crate of boomerangs that were subsequently shipped to Mexico. Luckily, he was able to adequately adapt to his new environment. I was actually waiting to see when someone was going to notice that. :D I simply liked the way the Aztec theme looked, and I know that 99% of the people who come through my house are going to be clueless about the snake's native habitat. I had to force myself to overlook that fact, because normally a contradiction like that would bother me.

Hey firemaniv. I've got a question about your tracking for your ball Python. I saw your video on YouTube about it and was wondering do you think a Burmese could push the doors up and out?? I want to do the same thing you did but use real glass instead.

I don't know, I guess if you use thicker glass so that it has weight that would help. Plus I think if the glass has a lock on it that makes the 2 sections more like one. I have not seen my BP messing with the doors. She likes to rearrange her lighting lol.

I would find an active burn thread/ Facebook group and ask. Sorry that I don't have a better answer. I have never owned a burn, just hold them.

ya, it would drive me nuts too. I mean, my décor does not in any way scream natural habitat so I cant really complain. :)
