I have this comment on another post, but feel it may help with your humidity issue as well. "My room is temp/humid controlled now, but when I was dealing with individual tanks I used a small burlap cinch bag you can pick up at any craft store or Walmart. I filled with moss and soaked it, then squished the bottom to get excess water off. Do that every 3-4 days as needed will keep you from having to spray all the time. I soaked everything in scalding hot water before using."

Re: My BP has a belly burn and is in the middle of a bad shed
Sampson has now completely shed. The top 1/4 came off mostly in 1 piece, the next 1/4 his back shed in 2 pieces, his tummy was more problematic, he had minor burn spots there that had mostly healed, they have a brown appearance and he shed those in roughly 3-5 in patches. His shed was very brittle on his belly, almost the texture of rice paper. The Next 1/4 was worse with his back coming off in patches, and only with a bit of help, I didn't touch his belly though, it was pretty raw especially at the edges where he had rubbed it on things. I hadn't been messing with his tail, but after reading the posts here I looked a little closer and noticed how pinched it looked After moistening the scales I managed to get it off him, and man the skin was red and raw underneath. I put him back in his home and he promptly crawled under his hide and well hid the remainder of the night, I checked on him briefly this morning (pulled off the hide) and he crawled over to get some water I replaced the hide and he after he finished crawled back in it. This tail tip certainly looked better though. I was glad to see the paper towel was relativly clean under him, no blood and only 1 or 2 places where it looked like he s wounds had oozed. How long should I wait before feeding him? He is 2 days late already. He only eats live BTW.

I would keep his feeding schedule. So, if it has passed and he's completely shed, offer a prey item. You may want to offer something a little bit smaller if you have it. That may help with any discomfort he may feel with a full belly. It sounds like things are improving, so that's good news. I'm pretty sure the raw look is cooked flesh, like when we get a sunburn, and it may be pink for a long time.
