    It's just a different aspect of an animal hobby, that, like the BP hobby, involves breeding for something specific you want. It's like, instead of trying for a new morph combo, you're trying for a certain specific quality in an already established marking or body conformation or whatever.

    When I showed rabbits, I found competition to be fun and friendly. Only one of my rabbits I still have ever won first place (then he broke his toe and became unshowable), and I love them all the same. But entering them in shows was always fun.

    I plan to breed my snakes, but they're first and foremost pets too. That's how I ended up with so many boys, haha. I play with mine a lot and name them all. A show would be kind of fun, I think. But I also think it would be very stressful for a ball python, plus I'm deathly afraid of getting mites! :(
