I tried starting them on f/t mouse hoppers (the breeder had already gotten them to eat live pinkies) so I switched to live hoppers for a little while but I really hated keeping live mice. After giving them about 2 months on the live hoppers and weaned mice I was able to switch them both over to f/t rats and now they're both doing great, I can even put them in a separate tub to feed and they have no problems at all. BTW, I feed in separate tubs sometimes so I can spot clean their tub and change water etc, and no other reason. Some nights when I already know their tub is clean I just feed them right in it.

Ok thanks. I don't think Petsmart has gotten her to eat anything on her own yet being 6 weeks old so i'll probably try and start her on rat pups since my red tail boa eats rats already. It will make it easier to euthanize 2 rats at the same time in the future. Actually the only thing they have gotten the Pieball to eat is carnivore care and that was from 2 syringe feedings......i'll probably have my hands full with this little one but I'm hoping that with the right temps, a nice quiet cage and hides, she will come around and eat on her own although I have been watching assist feeding videos to prepare myself :/

Jeff, did you feed live hoppers as in you dropped them in the cage? I ask cause I feed fresh killed but not live as I've seen too many horror stories of snakes that struck wrong and get torn up by the mouse/rat.

As tiny as this snake is I would start with a live mouse hopper, they are like crack to baby snakes. A hopper can't do too much damage to a snake either, it's mainly the rat weanlings and larger that are a problem if they are left unmonitored with the snake.
