    Cody, awesome explanation of the needs for a prospective BP owner.

    I currently have one but plan to possibly start breeding them next year if I can acquire a suitable female. They are amazing snakes!

    Balls are great snakes to own. As long as you're prepared for their maximum size (around 5 feet would be a large female.) And the fact that you have to feed them rats (frozen/thawed is best.) And the fact that some of them go on a "hunger strike" for a few months in the winter (but this does not harm them in any way, as long as they resume eating within a few months.)
    The biggest thing i can advise is, please buy from a breeder! Pet-stores often have newly imported Balls that are not eating and carrying a bunch of parasites. I would definately buy a captive born and bred animal from a reputable breeder. I reall wish I knew this when I got into Balls, because my first one came from a pet store and she was very hard to get feeding.
