I think I will return that bulb and try the bulb you linked me to. I feel so caught off guard. I had my stuff set up perfectly, but the day I got my ball, our central air/heat was installed and suddenly my room went from a very snug (house was heated by a kerosene heater that was centrally located by my room) to a slightly cooler but still enjoyable 72F. I didn't anticipate the drop in temperature playing with the habitat temps so much. But then again, I've never needed to pay so close attention to temps before. The tarantulas are just fine in room temperature.

Thanks for being so patient with me!

No problem. Its nice to help people that are willing to do what it takes to keep their animals safe. PM anytime if you need help and Im not around. I know sometimes the forum can move kinda slow when you need something answered.

Oops, forgot to update. I ended up getting the bulb you recommended with a Fluker's dome and Bubba J is resting in paradise. Hot side temp holds steady at 90F and cool side (the lamp) holds around 77.8F - 78.2F so I am satisfied. :)

It looks like I am getting one of these as I am having the exact same issue. I have a normal heat lamp that can be hung up, how far away should I hang up the bulb?
