Re: 1st time BP owner heating and humidity issues
Wow who would have thought thermostat be sooo hard to find. Only one I could find was zoomed which didn't even work. I ordered the one you recommended. His first feeding is tonight and I have a digital thermometer with a suction cup probe. I was thinking about hooking pad up to dimmer and monitoring heat. Just mess with it till it stays at 90 at least until thermostat arrives tomorrow. I know he needs the belly heat for digestion. My roommate came home with 2 baby feeder mice and the breeder was feeding baby rats. I Swear these baby mice look unhealthy and diseased. MaybeI should just go buy a rat. Idk tho maybe 1st feeding should be smaller. Thank you guys so much for your help. I really want him healthy.

While a lamp dimmer isn't a good long-term solution since it will let the UTH fluctuate up and down as the ambient room temp rises and falls, which is common at this time of year, it's a good short-term solution for regulating his heat.
