How about a Bumblebee or Firefly? I've seen both under $200. My wife got my Pastel Tiger shipped for $150. Take your time, look around the net and FB, figure out what you like, want, or want to make and go from there. Apparently some people up north want to ship snakes out now before it get's too cold, so you could find deals there too...

You will probably have more choices by then too. With the flood of coral glows hitting the market I've watched their prices drop from about $750 in June to $300 lately. Same with Bamboos. They were $10k earlier this year and I seen one sell recently for $2,500.

We don't like going home with all the same animals, everyone I know expects me to bring something new home, at least to play with for a couple weeks before rehoming.

You are corredt though, cash money talks....i picked up my VPI axanthic female for $200 last month

Another word of advice is to hang out and browse the show, observe if people are readily spending money or if everyone seems to be browsing.

The mid to end of a slow show is hands down the best time to get a deal, costs a lot of money to set up at shows and most vendors do a few shows a month. Lots of fast food, convenience stores, hotels, gas, and don't forget tables although that is probably the lowest expense.

I live in the cincy area. They changed the location of that show (if we are talking about the same one) I believe it's in Fairfield now. They have a huge variety there.
