Yeah, I had some ridiculous issues getting one of my snakes to strike, coil and eat properly because I wasn't getting the rat hot enough. He'd eat, but he'd eat sort of... cornsnake like. Ie: Just open up and swallow if it was right in front of his face. More warmth helped.
