Yeah, my corns are in aquariums. Due to were I live and my year around house temp I don't need any special heating or humidity for them.

Firstly, tanks are a horrible choice for vivs, but work with what can get. I can't remember for the life of who said this but fish tanks are for fish not reptiles!!
On cages vs racks (what I think is the core question) I think cages are more for the keeper, and racks are more for the kept. Now there are certain species that lend themselves better to cages but most of them could care less. Think about it this way, in the wild most of the snakes are to avoid 2 major things, the open, and extreme temps. Most snakes will choose cover over temps. So if they are trying to avoid being in the open, then why are you putting them in an environment where they don't have a choice? Or if you are providing a hide box I bet they spend most of their time in there! That and as mentioned before racks are easier to clean, more space efficient etc!!
Also this is just a side from my personal experience, my snakes seem to be healthier in rack vs cages, also I notice problems quicker with racks vs cages!! With cages I've found I'm less likely to actually put hands on my snakes. So I'm slower to realizing something's wrong.

Ask yourself: Which do you prefer?

Do you have more then a few snakes.. if so Rack.... IF not go for a PVC cage. for display

@corbin911 I have three snakes and I plan to breed, so a rack is probably the better choice for me

100%. I personally love the look of a rack for BPS. I have a PVC arboreal cage for when my GTP is ready to look at. But bps are visually boring hiding in hits and wanting to be out of view so a nice clean rack
http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...7deebbfce3.jpg that's one of the 3 I have. My first ARS (hatchling part is brand new) and now I have 2 more! Another 7030 and a 5040.

I only have one BP (all my garters have tanks since they utilize the space more), but I use a see-through sterilite box with an opaque top. It gives me the best of both worlds in that the snake gets a mostly dark area with good humidity control, but she still gets somewhat of a natural day/night cycle and I can watch her through the sides.
