That gray is nice. It brings out the earthy tones in all the snakes

Big thing was I am just getting tired of the white. I think I will do more with the grey for sure. The others were more for something fun and different.

Completely out of left field, but have you ever tried a shoot using a background in a similar color to the maroon of your site? I'd be curious to see how that plays against a few of the brighter members in your collection.

I have done a few shots on a purple background before. It had a little shine to it, so it was a bit distracting. I my try a flat purple.

I'd have thought all those light coloured snakes would look great on a black or very dark background ..... is that an option !?

I'm no photo critique, but I enjoyed the pics. I definitely like the twists you added compared to the standard backgrounds everyone uses. Really sets your pics apart.

I have done black backgrounds. White and black are pretty much the standard, so I wanted to branch out.

Please remember that burlap contains chemicals that are harmful to most living creatures

It's a scrap booking page, not the stuff used for ground cover.

I worked at a fabric store, what we sold was for crafting purposes and not ground cover- still pretty much soaked in kerosene. I still would not trust any burlap.
