When I was getting my bp, I wasn't going for a particular sex, so I decided on a male and female name. Female would be(and became) Pelota, which is ball in spanish. And my male was going to be Delano, which means "of the night" in old french. I went for stuff that had something to do with ball pythons and such. If you wish, you can use Delano. I doubt I'll be getting another snake for a while, so it's of no use for me(not that I own the name...:)). It's not so mythical and strange, but I thought Pelota and Delano sounded cool. :)

Plus you can say "wow, that cool guy from across the border named my snake. I love him so much" 8)

How 'bout Ra, or Anubis...? I got my name from Egyptian mythology.... but someone else has the same name for their snake on here too :-( I thought I was original... heh

I would be the one who has a snake Isis. Sorry man, I am half egyptian so I thought the name would be appropriate and creative. Alas, since we both have the name I must not be as creative as I thought

As for male mythological names there are tons.

    Some of my favorites are
    Atlas
    Prometheus
    Daedulus
    Icarus
    Ajax
    Achilles
    Charon
Midas (he wished everything he touched would turn to gold and BPs definitely have a lot of gold going on)

Tantalus (his punishment was to spend eternity grasping for food and drink that was always just beyond his reach - may be a bad luck name for a BP due to some of their eating habbits)

    Mojo (moe-joe)
    Mosi (moe-zee)
    Mogli (moe-glee)
    Bodru (bow-drew)
    Ekans (snake backwards)
    or Cupid!
