Re: Looking to buy a boa in the near future.
Yeah I'm for sure buying a baby. I went to the shop today to look at him. It's a baby hypo red tail.
Now I just need to figure out lighting. (Not my primary heat source. ) but I want to have the snake on a light cycle. I'd like to do a florescent light but Idk how to incorporate it in my enclosure.
Once the snake gets bigger I will be investing in an ap cage, or something similar. The tub is just my method of saving some cash. So far, it definitely has lol.

Just get an LED strip light at one of the big box hardware stores, and mount it flat. I think some even have velcro mounting.
Another GREAT idea IMO, and one I use for about 3 hours at night is this: http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/armoledst.html (Mods, if the "no link rule" applies here remove the link. The link is to assist a new owner with cage setup)
These have suction cup mounts, they are water proof and a great value.
Look into those options. I think florescent lights may be on the way out, with the nice trim and affordable LED strip lights.
Good luck!
