I was worried about that particular bit of advice starting out, but I decided to just start by feeding my Ball Python in her enclosure because I thought she would be more comfortable. Over the month that I've had her, I've never once had an issue with her striking at me within her enclosure.

She knows what day is feeding day and she gets increasingly more active. If I open up the top and even put my hand in, she'll come have a look, but then she'll realize it's my hand and she'll go looking for the actual mouse. I haven't been bitten yet!
