    Sand under light diffuser(2 layers). I use the sand cause it holds the water in place so it does not splash on the eggs. Some people call light diffuser egg crate. You can find it in the lighting section of Home Depot, Lowes, and most other home improvement stores.

    Light diffuser on top of over-saturated repashy superhatch. The superhatch is there because it holds moisture fairly well, is reusable and keeps the water from sloshing around.

    put some plastic sponge underneath the light diffuser and filled it up to the top of the sponge with water. Worked well for my first time
