I use a temp gun and that's all.

I just use a temp gun also, when I first started I bought a few acurite and right next to each other they couldn't even agree on the temp and humidity. Useless things imo.

Will continue to use my herpstat and temp gun but still want some form of confirmation of ambient temps and humidity, even if it's a few degrees or percentages off.

I agree. I use a herp4 and temp gun but keep an acuite temp and humidity gauge for quick checks. My tubs stay consistent.

All i use is a Herpstat and temp gun once in a while. Temps are always dead on. Gotta love them herpstats:)

Agree, love the herpstat but you guys don't monitor humidity?

I just monitor mine with the accurite thermometer in the tank, although I've never seen it really dip below 40. It always hovers around 50-60% and I just mist the tank a little extra during a shed and it has worked wonderfully.

I have a thermostat hooked up to my rhp and flexwatt and two digital acurite temp/humidity on the cool side and hot side. U can get them at home dopot. I'll see if I can get a pix of the set up when I get home
