    I've seen my Red Tail in her dish a couple times, but never while she was shedding.

    counting out the breeding season, mine soak preshed in times of low humidity. Normally they don't because i try to keep high thinkgs in order, but if the ambient air is really dry, it really soaks up humidity out of the snake racks, and there's almost nothing i can do to controll that short of installing humidifiers. I do not see the need since my snakes seem to have enough sense to take a bath if they need exta moisture, and sheds still come off perfect.

    Yes, some of mine soak pre-shed. It happens quite a bit with certain females.
