Yuppers, the Johnsons can have a probe length of up tp 800' which is not pratical for our use. But it is held into place with 2 set screws. It actually comes unattached from the manu. The ranco is also replacabe at home but does not specify a length on the probes avail. The herpstat can come with a probe up to 12 foot for free and is replacabe also..
