First guy (or gal, haven't checked yet) to pip was completely out of the egg when I got home from work yesterday. Looks like a normal or a yellowbelly. I didn't look closely because it still had a little nub of umbilical cord and I didn't want to mess around with it too much yet.

I did cut the other eggs yesterday. They're all alive but I haven't seen any more snoots poking out yet. Two of them are pinstripes or pinstripe YBs, the rest look like normal or YB.

Another one of the hatchlings came out. A pinstripe with a very busy pattern, lol. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/29/ygymasy8.jpg

The last few hatchlings came out of the egg early this morning. No combos, but the babies all appear healthy. Looks like 2 pinstripes, 2 yellowbellies and 2 normals.

It's interesting to me that the pinstripes are so different than their sire. The hatchlings' patterns are much busier, with lots of spotting, and one has a pretty crazily broken stripe. Their sire has a very clean pattern that I was hoping would carry on to his offspring... I'd still like to pair him with another pinstripe someday, just to see how that clutch turns out.

What does mom's pattern look like? That will affect things too.

    Cute pile of babies! :)

Just took another look at the hatchlings and I guess I miscounted before... I think there's actually 1 yellowbelly, 2 pins and 3 normals.
