    Every insurance whether pet or human will tell you exactly what they cover and what they don't. You just have to take your time and read the fine print.

    one thing that might be useful is when you for example get insurance for the building, against storm damage and fire damage and things like that, you might want to make sure that this also covers your reptile collection. (there even is the problem that some insurance companies will refuse to insure your building when you are keeping reptiles in there :rolleyes: ).

    but these pet insurances that are basically supposed to be a health insurance for the pets, covering vet costs, i dont think these are useful. its better to just put money on the side for that.

    Alot also only cover X amount of dollars per visit, with X amount of visits per year allowed

    It's expensive and they normally exempt pre-existing conditions.

    Go see a qualified herp vet. Pet insurance won't protect you against a hack.
