Re: How many Breeders actually temp cycle?
Thanks everyone for their input. I'm trying to decide if I should drop hotspots or not. We have our Ball Pythons in the same room with us so ambient probably wont change. I'm thinking I'm going to try dropping the hot spot when October comes around.

Most of the time we drop hot spots to 88 and ambients down to 75-77. Works great for us.

Breeders hot spots are 85 during the day. 75 night drop.

About mid october through march I put all my heat on a timer to shut down at night...so temps drop to around 75f for about ten hours at night and then they get their hot spot back on during the daytime. It works for me and I also have some other species that need the night drop more than bps do, it's just easier to do everything the same way. Baby and subadult animals are the only ones that I don't do night drops with.
