Thanks Rob. I washed my cage the day I found mites on my BP Robin. I still have Robin in the cage. Do I need to re wash it?

You're welcome. :) Yeah you should rewash it. Never can tell what Robin might have as far as health problems. If you put your new beardie in there and Robin had some kind of contagious disease that would be bad for the new beardie. Always best to be on the safe side with that.

For mites there are some that can affect snakes and lizards but generally there are ones for one or the other. From you posts though it seems like you had an animal with mites and didn't really deal with it properly. I could be wrong and you might be leaving stuff out from your reply but from what you have said it seems like you had that issue and just avoided it instead of dealing with it. Basically you shouldn't get another animal IMO if you are unwilling to deal with situations like that properly. But like any person you probably will even of you should or not. Hopefully you have no issues with a beardie because it seems from what you harvested you aren't responsible enough to deal with something wrong that might come up. Again this is just my interpretation from what you have written. If you have miss represented yourself and you did deal with the problem responsibly I apologize for my accusations.

I wanted to add that you should find a different pet store or find a breeder of beardies to find a new beardie. Obviously they don't take proper care of their animals. Sorry you were sold a problematic snake. Any questions about a beardie don't hesitate to ask us. Lots of knowledgeable people around. Good luck! :)
