    I have a big humidity problem...And I heard that plastic wrap stuff wrapped over the top would work. And it does..Only I have to spray a bunch. Do the towels work better? By the way, I'm new. So hi. n_n;

    If you use the damp towels you shouldn't have to spray - at least I don't. I just rewet the towels 1-2 times a day.

    Q about temps
    welcome napoleon! there are better ways to raise the humidity other than constant misting, most of which have already been mentioned. humid hide, humidifier, the tropic aire system, damp towels, etc. all of these will keep you from having to constantly monitor and adjust by misting.

    Be aware, though, that if you do use the towels, it's just like using sponges inside the tank -- they are great breeding grounds for bacteria and need to be cleaned thoroughly and often. You should not, for example, keep the same towel on top of the tank all the time and just let it dry and re-wet it. If you change towels daily or so, it should be fine.

    Thanks, TG. :) It just had occurred to me that someone thinks to warn about that every time we discuss sponges, but I don't really see it brought up when towels are mentioned. It might be obvious to one person but overlooked by another.

    I use an air stone in my boa enclosure. It works well. I have a large bowl and keep it at the far edge and he doesnt seem to have a problem drinking from it.

    You are certainly right. At times I forget to add my usual 'warnings', etc to suggestions (like make sure the duct tape is on the top outside of the lid not inside the tank). Sometimes we do also overlook what might be obvious to us. :)
