I'll be switching to the heat pads because my room is usually hot except for the night it drops to 60-70

If your room drops that low you still need another source of heat. If it drops below 78 in your house at all you need heat from above to warm the air which the UTH will not.

I'll keep a regular light not heat and the UTH and then at night I'll use heat bulb and UTH ? That way temps stay 70-85
