Clinical...mostly. I'm still a huge sucker for starches and keep catching myself being weak. But I am almost at my goal and the plan is to increase the carbs to the point that I can maintain weight. Those should mostly come from fruit and, apparently, french fries because I just can't quit them. Sugar/grain products are definitely off the table for good.

I don't do any of this carb or calorie counting business. I simply eat what I like in moderation and exercise regularly. I am slowly losing weight. Slow is the way to go IMO. People who lose too much weight too fast end up with saggy skin. I don't want that.

Also, unless you are like 5.feet tall, 188 isn't overweight by any stretch of the imagination. If I were 188 I'd look slightly thin. If I were 160 I'd look like a bean pole. And I am 5' 10". Currently 210. No aiming for any sort of weight. Aiming for little to no belly flab. Currently that's where nearly all my fat is.

I put myself on a diet when the Doc said ... You might become diabetic. I started the last week of April @286lbs. I am 264 and it keeps coming off. I stopped drinking a 2 liter of soda a day and now if we eat out it isnt @ McDonalds or Wendys, its at applebees and I get chicken. I cut out lots of carbs, I was probably eating 400% of daily allowance. Now I eat 30-40%. I am sitting here with a salad, sandwich and banana my fiance made me (not the banana...lol) and the greatest discovery is "CLEAR AMERICAN MANDARIN ORANGE FLAVORED WATER" from WalMart. Makes soda taste like dirt.

Good Luck to all the dieters...
